Festival of Trees 2011-Mary Bridge Children's Hospital

This past weekend my family and I headed downtown to the MultiCare Festival of Trees benefiting Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.

The website explains that this year celebrates the 25th Annual Festival of Trees - "The Spirit of Giving".  During the first week of December, each year, the Festival of Trees brings the sights and sounds of the holidays to the families of Southwestern Washington with a glittering display of approximately 70 exquisitely decorated trees.

Each tree is trimmed with holiday presents, trips and other marvelous gifts.  Set in a fairy-tale wonderland with special theme days and events, gift shops, photos with Santa, two elegant evenings of dining and entertainment, and the season's most exciting auction of trees and wreaths, the Festival truly is the holiday event of the season!

The last time I was at the Festival of Trees, I was pregnant with my youngest child, 7 years ago!  This year, the trees did not disappoint!

Remember, each tree is based on a theme and is auctioned off to the highest bidder.  This particular tree came with a fishing boat, a flat screen TV, and several fishing escapes.

Not to mention the tree and everything on it.  The hand blown glass ornaments were gorgeous!  This tree in particular sold for $30,000!

This sail boat themed room was perfect down to the Lego creator lighthouse that came with it!

This tree was my chocolate lover daughters favorite.

See all of the Hershey's chocolates that line the base?  It included a trip to the Hershey's Pennsylvania chocolate factory.

There were several tablescapes included this year as well.

I loved the beachy feel to this outdoor tree and Adirondacks set.

My little guy loves any tree that has a train at the base of it.  He was sold on this one!

This Elvis based tree came with a roomful of furniture and any Elvis memorabilia you could want!

I love the combination of the white and silver

This sweet tree was by far my favorite!  The candy shoppe on the right is filled with handmade bath bombs that look like cupcakes and other sweet treats.

I loved the cupcake topper

and the beautiful candy themed ornaments

This tree came complete with a barn and the barn was filled to the brim with toys.  I hear that the winning bidder of this item donates the toys back to the hospital so the kids can enjoy them. Now that's giving!
The barn sold for $11,000

This sweet tree came with it's own playhouse

And this tree was actually a teddy bear

Come back tomorrow for a look at some more!
